More rankings success for Study Group university partners in UK and US league tables

In total, Study Group, including its EdTech company insendi, partners with 35% of the top 20 universities listed in the Guardian rankings and the top 9% of universities listed in the ‘The US News Best Colleges’ league table.

There was more positive news for many of Study Group’s university partners, in respected UK and US league tables, released this week.

In ‘The Best UK University Rankings’ from the Guardian, several Study Group university partners for international pathway programmes increased their league table place, including the University of Huddersfield, University of Leeds, Royal Holloway, The University of Sheffield and the University of Sussex. The student-focused league table ranks universities using eight different scores, which form a total out of 100. These take account of what students say about their teaching, feedback and the course itself in the annual National Student Survey.

This year’s Guardian rankings also see the University of Oxford retain their position at the top of the table and Imperial College London, move up to 7th place. Both higher education institutions partner with Study Group’s EdTech company insendi to deliver online higher and executive education programmes.

In ‘The US News Best Colleges’ league table, which analyses the performance of more than 1,850 higher education institutions across America, Study Group EdTech company insendi’s top-rated partners in the US Johns Hopkins and NYU Stern Business School placed 9th and 28th respectively in National University rankings. In addition to this, Study Group’s North American partner Baylor University moved up to 75th place. All Study Group university partners in America rank in the top 9% both nationally and regionally.

In terms of subject-specific rankings, Baylor achieved 33rd place for best undergraduate teaching and 17th place for best undergraduate research and creative projects in the US. Alongside Baylor (15th), DePaul is ranked in 44th place for the best first-year student experience.

Study Group CEO Emma Lancaster shares her congratulations:

“On behalf of everyone at Study Group, we would like to congratulate all of our university partners on their successes in these prestigious UK and US rankings.

“Despite the challenges presented by the global pandemic and needing to navigate restrictions on travel and social interaction, it is great to see our university partners acknowledged for providing students with an outstanding education.

“We are delighted that the hard work of staff for students at our partner universities has been recognised in this way and we would like to take this opportunity to thank colleagues who have worked closely with the Study Group team to offer the highest quality education to our students.”
