Study Group launches a new digital English Language learning program for students studying in the US

Leading international education provider Study Group is delighted to launch English for University Studies, which is a new digital language learning program. The program is available to Study Group direct-admit international students studying at James Madison University, the University of Hartford and Baylor University in the US and is recognised by these Higher Education Institutions as an alternative to the IELTS and TOEFL test for entry.

Delivered on the Insendi Learning Experience Platform, the online course is designed to support international students studying higher education programs in the US to enhance their written and verbal English language communication skills.

Insendi, a Study Group company, have been creating and delivering online and blended courses for leading global universities, including ETH Zurich, Johns Hopkins University and HEC. Insendi has a respected academic research base, as a spinout from Imperial College’s EdTech Lab, and adopts the philosophy of an education-first digital pedagogy in all platform and content development.

Study Group has utilized Insendi’s expertise in digital education to create the English for University Studies course.

International students studying the English for University Studies digital program will learn in the following ways:

  • Structured, scaffolded and rigorous learning: 50% of learning hours are delivered through real-time lessons taught by English language acquisition experts .
  • Empowering students to learn independently and in groups at their own pace: 50% is accessible through build-in multimedia, engaging learning experiences including interactive community and individual activities, group projects, presentations, writing practices and more
  • More choice and flexibility for students: with two versions of the English for University Studies online program for learners to choose from depending on their English language competency level (5.5 IELTS and 6.0 IELTS).
