Study Group students share their experiences of observing Ramadan

For many of our international students, Ramadan is a precious time of year, but balancing observing the fast alongside studies and during a time of social gathering restrictions can be a challenge.

As Emma Lancaster, Study Group CEO comments:

“Ramadan is the time of the year where Muslims from all over the world unite and connect with each other through the act of fasting as Muslims.

“As a diverse global community, Study Group recognises the significance of the religious identities, traditions and celebrations of our students and ensures they feel supported throughout their studies.”

Several of our student ambassadors have written a blog sharing their experiences of what it is like to study whilst observing Ramadan and the support Study Group has provided.

Tiba from Iraq – The University of Sheffield International College

A celebration of cultural diversity

Study Group supports international students to celebrate their diversity, by providing them with the opportunity to share and teach each other about their country and cultural heritage.

By doing this, they are able to connect with their peers and build an international network of friends. Watch our international student video to learn more.
