Leading global pathway education provider Study Group has today announced plans for online learning options for international students.

According to Chief Executive Officer Emma Lancaster,

“It is becoming clear to all of us that it is going to take a while for universities and international education to return to anything like normal, so our task is to help the majority of students who still want to pursue their education in the world’s leading universities to do so with as little disruption as possible.

“International students will make the transition to face-to-face learning as soon as public health guidance and local circumstances permit but, in the meantime, delivery of our programmes online will ensure students maintain their progress towards undergraduate and postgraduate study and that their longer-term educational and career ambitions remain on track.”

Study Group’s approach to remote learning reflects a dual commitment to:

A high-quality academic preparation for degree level study in the chosen subject recognised for entry into undergraduate or postgraduate study

A focus on specialist international student support, in particular around English language, subject terminology, and developing the study skills appropriate to essay, lab work and assessment in a different system of education.

Study Group is also drawing on the expertise of its recently-acquired Higher Education online learning platform company, Insendi, to strengthen online teaching and to develop bespoke new programmes especially designed for technology-enhanced learning. Founded by the Director of the EdTech Lab at Imperial College in London, Insendi already provides online learning platforms and specialist support to teachers in Business Schools in leading universities across the world, and are is now turning this expertise to benefit Study Group pathway students.

CEO Emma Lancaster also paid tribute to the work of Study Group staff around the world who have been supporting current international students who remained in their study destination countries or who had returned home because of COVID-19.

“Teaching and support staff have shown huge dedication to students as they have moved courses online and developed innovative approaches to student support. We have worked closely with the universities with whom we collaborate to achieve this and students have been incredibly grateful for the support and care they have received. International education is being delivered in new ways but success still depends on the commitment and adaptability of our outstanding teachers to a new challenge and the needs of students across the world. Our students and staff are rising admirably to this unprecedented challenge.”

Study Group is the leading provider in international pathway programmes.
