Study Group partners Coventry and Strathclyde universities are part of a new alliance of UK and Singaporean universities aimed at accelerating collaboration in entrepreneurship and innovation. Study Group welcomes this news as a partner offering progression to both Coventry University London and the University of Strathclyde from their respective International Study Centres.

The UK-Singapore Universities Alliance for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (UKSAEI) – the first alliance of its kind to accelerate collaborations in entrepreneurship and innovation between the two countries – was launched on 8 April 2021, witnessed by H.E. Study Group has welcomed the founding of UKSAEI, which brings together leading universities from the UK - including Study Group partners Coventry and Strathclyde universities - and in Singapore to share knowledge and facilitate collaboration in commercialisation and innovation.

The Alliance aims to:

  • Facilitate, share knowledge, and co-operate in the respective efforts of UK and Singapore universities in the areas of technology transfer and commercialisation through active engagement with government and industry.
  • Develop cross-border licensing of technologies and human capacity building as well as to support and encourage innovation.
  • Act as the catalyst for commercialisation activities.
  • Actively facilitate and enable collaboration between universities, public research institutes, government, and industry players in the innovation ecosystem in Singapore and the UK to co-create value.

CEO of Study Group Global Emma Lancaster said:

“Study Group is pleased to partner with universities with an excellent global reputation for innovation. We know that international students are keen to progress to universities, which have deep links to innovation and commercialisation, and that a connection to real world commercial applications of knowledge is a quality respected by future employers.

Both the UK and Singapore are known for their commitment to investing in research and development, innovation, and enterprise, and so it is good to see our partners collaborating internationally in these areas to support economic growth.”

Singapore University partners include Nanyang Technological University Singapore, the National University of Singapore, Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore Management University, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design.

Study Group’s specialist online education Insendi already works in Singapore with the Singapore Management University to deliver online elements of its highly respected management education programme.
